Helious Is Now a Connector in Claude
Until now you connected Helious to your AI by pasting an address into a settings page. From today you search for it. Helious is live in the Claude connector directory, listed by TradeIQ Ltd, the company behind it. Find it, press connect, sign in once, and Claude reads the live desk. The ChatGPT listing is submitted and follows when its review completes.
1. What changed?
The data is the same desk we have always run: Treasury yields and the curve regime, every economic release scored the second it prints, auction results with the tail and who bought, Fed rate odds off the futures strip, the FX and volatility boards, and the feed. What changed is the front door. Claude now carries Helious in its own catalogue, so there is no address to copy and nothing to type except your email. Anthropic reviewed the server and its 25 tools before publishing the listing, which is the point of being in a directory rather than a settings field.
2. How do I add it in Claude?
Open the listing at claude.ai/directory/helious and press Connect, or in Claude go to Customize, then Connectors, and search for Helious. A Helious page opens in your browser. If you already have an account, sign in; if not, create one on that same screen, free and with no card. Press Allow Claude and you are back in Claude with 25 read-only tools. It works in Claude on the web and mobile, in Claude Desktop and in Claude Code.
3. What about ChatGPT?
The ChatGPT listing is submitted to the plugin directory under TradeIQ Ltd and goes live when OpenAI finishes its review. Until then ChatGPT connects the way it always has: open Plugins, choose Add custom MCP server, paste https://api.helious.io/mcp, keep OAuth, and press Connect. The same Helious sign-in page opens. In a chat, choose Helious from the plus menu next to the composer so its tools are in play for that conversation. We will update this post with the directory link.
4. What can I ask once it is connected?
Plain questions. What is the Treasury curve doing today, and when did the regime last flip? How did this morning's 10-year auction go? What prints this week and what is the forecast? What are the odds of a cut at the next FOMC meeting? How hot was the last CPI print against its own history? Each answer comes back as a finished sentence that names Helious and links the page the number lives on, with the data underneath it, so you can check any claim in one click.
5. Does my AI see live numbers?
It sees what your plan sees. A free account reads seven days back with news an hour behind. Paid plans open the market prices and deeper history, and an answer that needs more than your plan includes says so and names the page to read, instead of guessing. The plans are on the pricing page.
6. Is it safe to connect?
The connection is OAuth, the same standard your Google and Microsoft sign-ins use. Helious never hands your password to Claude or ChatGPT, and the token they hold can only read market data. It cannot touch your subscription, spend anything, post anything or create keys. You can disconnect either app from your Helious account page at any time, and from the app's own settings.
7. I already use the address. Do I need to change anything?
No. The address https://api.helious.io/mcp keeps working everywhere it works today: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, Cline and the rest. A pasted API key keeps working too. 8. Why list it at all?
Because a settings field asks you to trust an address, and a directory asks the platform to check it first. The listing is submitted by TradeIQ Ltd, reviewed against Anthropic's rules for tool design and data handling, and shown under the company's name. That is a better answer to "is this real?" than a line on our own website. It is also simpler: the people who should be reading live market data in their AI are traders, not people who want to learn what a server URL is.
